The Model 100-V2 Steam Generator design combines simplicity and ruggedness for ease of operation, durability at an affordable price. It produces a constant psi, high temperature wet steam at the wand outlet. This unit is designed specifically for the automotive thermal shock test.

  • Fuel:    K1 kerosene is preferred for the machine

  • Heating Coil:   7/8” OD x 154’ helical wound steel tubing
  • Water Supply:   tap water  (garden hose fitting)
  • Water Pump:   triplex oil bath pump, 3/4 HP motor

This unit is a kerosene burning steam generator designed specifically for automotive thermal shock (steam jet) testing.  It is sold in a combination testing package only and contains the following list of separate components:

  1. Model 100-V2 w/ wand assembly (2013 redesign – Testing Innovations)
  2. Dynamic Head Fixture (for calibrating “upon each use”)
  3. Testing Fixture (holds test sample and TS wand in place for testing)
  4. Edge Testing Fixture with Sight Tube and Clamps
  5. Cutting Fixture/Guide (for test sample scribing/cutting)
  6. Temperature Meter/TC/Target Panel
  7. Instructional Flash Drive
  8. Laminated Placard – system test parameters
  9. Calibration
  10. The thermal shock unit and kit comes ready to ship, secured to a heavy pallet in a triple corrugated box approximately 67”x37”x61” and weighs approximately 600 lbs
